The chef of L'Instant.

 

Born in 1971 in Vitry-le-François, in the Marne department, Oliver Christoffel graduated from St Dizier (52) catering college in 1989.

Afterward, he worked in different restaurants all around France, especially in the Southwest, where he experienced a generous and gourmet cooking.

In 2001 he arrived in the Drôme region, attracted by the pleasant weather, and the Vercors mountains.

He settled in Bourg-de-Péage and took a position as head chef of the « Don Angelo » restaurant.

In July 2005, he finally got the opportunity to set up his own place « La table d'Olivier », located Place Jacquemart in Romans.

This is where he met Aurélie Rubini, from St Paul-les-Romans. Back then, she worked in the Grenoble area with a degree from the « Clos d'Or » catering college. She slowly took her place as a waitress in his restaurant, and they perfectly complemented each other.

The adventure went on until September 2010 when they finally had the opportunity to sell their business. They decided then to look for a big house where they could combine their restaurant and their family life.

In 2012, they had a crush on a beautiful imposing townhouse from the 30's, located rue De Delay.

After numerous repairs, fixtures and fittings, the restaurant opened its doors on the 1st February 2013.
